Companies wishing to join the IFBEC must submit a copy of their Code of Conduct, a Public Accountability Questionnaire, and a Company Statement signed by your IFBEC representative. Both of these documents must be resubmitted annually by each IFBEC member. Companies seeking to join must also execute a letter that affirms the company’s commitment to the Global Principles and mission of the IFBEC and also indicates the company’s agreement to be bound by the IFBEC charter and pay applicable membership fees. The letter also stipulates whether the applicant company agrees to have its Company Statement posted on the IFBEC website, and whether it will allow the IFBEC to link from the company’s name on the IFBEC website to the company’s ethics website. A draft letter is available for companies to use to satisfy this requirement.
The purpose of IFBEC is to:
a. Promote and foster through the Global Principles the development of global, industry-wide ethical standards for the companies that are active in the aerospace and defense business sector.
b. Organize opportunities for industry and relevant stakeholders to exchange information and best practices concerning ethical business challenges, practices and opportunities worldwide.
